Strut Your Stuff Weekly Meme is Up

Saturday Blog Hop blog memeTime to strut your bloggy stuff!

This week let’s link up our Halloween posts! Anything related to Halloween: spooky costumes, reminders, traditions, decorations or spooky crafts. I want to see ‘em all.

A few linky rules to help us get more participants!

  1. Please use your post's individual url (not your blog's main address). It makes it hard for us to find what you want to show off and leave comment love
  2. Post a link back to the party so everyone can join in the fun.

That's it! Now it's your turn to share you bloggy goodness with everyone!!!

When you’re done linking up don’t forget to check out my . I’ve got tickets to November’s Curious George Live! for my Twin Cities readers. I’m also giving away taco night on me with a $10 Visa gift card up for grabs.

Strut Your Stuff Saturday!

Last week produced some new links to the weekly meme and great bloggy finds. Flavor Packed Stuffed Turkey

If you’ve ever wondered how to add even more flavor to ground turkey then you must try this Stuffed Turkey recipe. Not only does it look amazing…I mean it’s a REAL hum-dinger of a finished dish…but it’s super easy to make! The trick she uses is so simple I find myself saying…doh (as i smack my head Homer Simpson style)!

Another Weekly Round of Strut Your Stuff

…is brought to you by Jenn at Frugal Front Porch! {said in my best announcer-woman voice!} lol

Everyone who linked up to the weekly meme last week was new to the linky. There were some great posts shared and I found some new blogs to check out. After all, isn’t that what linkies are for? ;D

Now onto the who’s who of last week’s linky…

Strut Your Stuff Weekly Blog Meme

It's time for another round of Strut Your Stuff's Weekly Linky.

I'd love to see some new participants this week. If you want some extra exposure for your blog or a specific post, linking up to blog meme's is the BEST way to do this. Include a catchy title and a great photo (if the option is available on the linky) to encourage readers to click your link and perhaps score some comment love.

Strut Your Stuff Blog Link Up

Sorry for the tardy post but I was up late working on homework then we had to skeedattle off to the city for a grocery run! Somehow we ended up with two ferrets. Don’t ask me how. I went to PetCo for a hooded litter box and hubby walked out with two ferrets, a cage, ferret litter, and ferret toys. To me they looks like weenie rats but maybe I’ll warm up to them later.

I digress. Last week’s Strut Your Stuff received some new links and over 400 views. My page views dropped severely after I dropped the blogspot in Frugal Front Porch’s web address but last week’s stats show a significant bump in page views since this change took place. THANK THE LORD! With any luck the click views will begin to get back to normal soon.

Strut Your Stuff Weekly Blog Meme

I apologize for not posting a Strut Your Stuff linky last week. The holiday weekend coupled with Wild Man’s birthday and trucker hubby’s homecoming from two weeks on the road had my focus and attention. This week it’s back to normal.

To jog your memory, the last Strut Your Stuff has some very tempting recipes. Cherry Almond Muffins, Sour Cream Spice Cake and Peachy Pomegranate French Toast were shared. These sound very lunch box friendly so I can’t wait to give ‘em a try. What are you linking up this wee?

Strut Your Stuff Saturday Linky

I may have mentioned this before but after 15 years, I’m going back to school. Yep, it’s back to school time for the kiddos AND me! Good times are on the horizon! lol

Today is orientation with classes starting on Monday. My books arrived earlier this week so the excitement has been been brewing all week. Now with classes starting so soon, I’m starting to feel those butterflies. Thinking about muddling through the book work, balancing school, kids, house, blog etc. and the money it’s going to cost, the doubts are starting to flare up! I know I can do it but I’m suddenly reminded how scary the first day of school can be! lol

Strut Your Stuff Weekly Meme – Week 7

Wild Morel MushroomsThis week I’m seeking some culinary help. My lovely husband discovered some wild Morel Mushrooms and at his buddy’s urging, picked a huge bowlful of these strange looking delicacies for me!

Only one problem…I have no idea how to prepare them!

Normally I brush mushrooms clean since they get all slimy when they get wet. NOT these!!! According to several sites, they should be soaked in cold salt water overnight to get rid of any “creatures” living in this porous shroom!

New Meme: Strut Your Stuff Saturday

The weekends is usually my time to spend with the family and work on those unpleasant little chores one must do to keep a happy home! It's also when I try to catch up on the blogiverse reading up on posts from my reader and blogroll. I like to take it easy on the weekends and relax both mentally and physically. This is why I thought it would be fun to start a weekly Saturday meme to strut your bloggy stuff.

Every Saturday morning around 10am I will post the meme linky and leave it open until the following Thursday. The linky software I'm using gives me the option of retrieving the html code for all the meme's weekly links for whoever wishes to publish for full rss/reader viewing. If this works, I plan to publish the previous week's meme every Friday with a highlight on my favorite read.

I am excited and I hope you are too. Get your posts ready and link up tomorrow. I look forward to seeing everyone's links this week.

Mama's Holiday Wish List Meme

Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme
TodaysMama and Provo Craft are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

Both my older kids hand painted a mini pot for Mother's Day in Kindergarten. They are both as different as their personalities. I love them both and still have them! Complete with their little hand flowers!

What handmade gift have you always wanted to tackle?
Quilting. I'm working on one but it's slow going! It probably won't be done till NEXT Christmas! ;)
What was the best Christmas gift you received as a child?
My birthday is 11 days before Christmas so my parents got me a new-to-me S10 pickup truck as a combo gift. They put a matchbox car in my stocking and parked the truck where it couldn't be seen from the windows. I was so bummed when I didn't find any keys in my stocking. I just knew I was going to get a new car for the big 16! I found the keys wrapped in an oversized box! One of the last presents I opened that year, if I remember correctly. I was so excited. I ran out and jumped right in. Tried to crank it. NOTHING HAPPENED! It was a stick shift. I didn't know how to drive a stick. My dad was in front of the truck filming the whole event with mom's camcorder. All of the sudden the truck began to roll forward. I couldn't figure out which pedal to push to stop it! My dad wasn't paying any attention to the truck moving and it knocked him down. He jumped up, ran around the open driver side door, pushed on the break and put it in gear stopping it. I was so freaked out I didn't want to get back in it but I did. I was immediately taught how to drive a stick shift!!! The holiday movie from that year is HILARIOUS!!!

What items are on your kid’s wish list this year?
Aside from every toy they see on TV? Electric scooter or 4 Wheeler, Transformers, Ben 10, Dora and Boots, Wow Wow Wubzy,

What is your favorite holiday food?
Pie. Pecan. Chess. Apple. All flavors in general!!!

What will you be hand-crafting for the holidays?
Sewn ornaments, mini totes, perhaps some jewelry, and a few games for the kids.

What is your favorite holiday movie?
Miracle on 34th Street with Elizabeth Perkins and Dylan McDermott

Favorite holiday song?
Bing Crosby's I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Favorite holiday pastime?
Eating, watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade followed by the football games on the tube!

Thanks to all of the generous sponsors that helped make Mama’s Holiday Wishlist possible!
