Remember Rainbow Brite? The blond girl with a blue star on her cheek in an awesome blue dress and rainbow colored knee high boots. Her magical steed, Starlight, always by her side. Together with the help of her friends Moonglow, Tickled Pink and the sprites, Rainbow Brite brings vibrant color, hope and friendship to everyone across the universe. Traveling by rainbow to wherever she is needed, Rainbow Brite is a beloved character from my generation. I absolutely loved her as a young girl so of course, I wanted to travel by rainbow too!
Ladies and gents: She’s making a comeback! Hallmark has officially re-launched Rainbow Brite for our kids to love as we did. Halmark has given the colorful girl an updated more modern look to appeal to today’s girls and tweens. Rainbow Brite has matured from a cute little girl to a stylish tween. She still maintains her signature colors and her goals are remain the same: bring love, hope, friendship and kindness to all the gray colorless places in the universe. She’s even got her own place on the web full of games, downloadables, videos and printables. It’s THE place for all things Rainbow Brite! Want more great news? Target is now carrying Rainbow Brite, Moonglow and Tickled Pink dolls with Toys R Us scheduled to carry them soon. I love how another fantastic character from my childhood is finding a new audience with my kids.
