I trust everyone had a great Easter Holiday weekend! We certainly enjoyed the long weekend with the kids being out of school Friday. Originally we had planned to visit our friend in North Dakota over the weekend but, with regional flooding and not knowing which roads would be closed, we felt it best to stay close to home. The photo to the right was taken Saturday in nearby Jamestown. It gets much worse the further south you travel! Thankfully we haven't see much flooding in our immediate area, just some pooling water in yards and driveways. Enough to make being outside extremely unpleasant! Praise be to HIM for protecting us from worse conditions!Saturday's Town Easter Egg Hunt was canceled due to...you guess it, pooling waters and mud so we improvised having our own Easter Egg hunt inside!!! The kids enjoyed it. There was of course candy and a few surprises: quarters, dollar bills, and even coupons for special treats. One of those special coupons was immediately redeemed. We traveled to Thief River Falls for a family outing to Walmart and McDonalds. This was a special treat for the kids since we usually only get to McDonalds once a month. They played and had a great time preferring to eat lunch on the hour long car ride home. J-Man's coupon allowed him to get a new game for his Nintendo DSi while Wild Man scored a self propelled Diego 4-Wheeler and a couple monstor trucks . J-Man chose the Bolt game since we recently watched the DVD. The others coupons-Trip to the Movies and a Trip to Blue Lake, will have to wait a bit till travel roads are better and weather conditions improve. Fun was had by all.
Did you have to adjust your last minute Easter plans? If so, did things turn out better or worse than your orignal plan?
