Are Chinese Worker’s SUPER human???
It’s no secret Chinese workers work for a fraction of the wage American’s make while cranking out mass quantities of products. It seems just about everything has the “Made in China” stamp on it: clothing, toys, glassware, pens, pencils, mugs, picture frames, Halloween costumes, even the American flag is made in China. The list is growing everyday.
As much as I hate to admit it, many of the China-made products are of a good quality compared to their price point. In the Capitalist world we live today, China seems to reign supreme.
Can the United States reclaim the top spot? I certainly hope so as it’s getting harder and harder to find quality “Made in America” products that are also reasonably priced. The harsh reality is we live on a strict budget and cheap quality China made products are often purchased. I would love to buy American Made but when the price is double it’s China Made counterpart? I will buy the cheaper product…unless the American Made product has superior quality. This is a struggle I think most American’s face.
The average American consumer’s financial limitations do not allow us to freely buy “American Made” products when it’s just so darn cheap to buy the same product made from our Chinese neighbors.
This is also a sore spot among the many American’s who see our economy dwindling just as China’s economy appears to gain momentum…at least in the job market.
Yahoo news picked up this story Saturday. Chinese workers built a 15 story hotel building in 6 days. SIX DAYS! Apparently sections of the building were prefabricated at an offsite location which helped streamline the building process. According to reports, the building is solid enough to withstand a magnitude 9 earthquake. Further reports also include there were NO INJURIES during the week long building process. This is an AMAZING feat.
