I'm Jennifer, a SAHM with three kids (Kayla-11, Joey-8, & Daniel-2), two step kids (Richard-10, Lance-7), a shelter adopted dog named Ruby, a rescued Siamese Calico mixed cat-Sandy Cheeks, along with three goldfish. I have a fabulous husband who works hard to provide for us. I have a houseful!
Orignally from the south, sitting on the front porch was a time of family gatherings and reflections. Folks discuss a multitude of topics ranging from the economy, the recent church gathering, politics, recipes, illnesses, births, deaths, the neighbor's tree shedding it's leaves in YOUR yard (lol), or any number of other topics-nothing was off limits. Local gossip, hard times and better times to come were always hot topics. These are some of my most fondest memories as a child growing up. These conversations take place everywhere, the back yard, living room, kitchen, and always on the front porch. It's the equivalent to the work place Water Cooler!
The Frugal Front Porch is my gathering place to chat about living well, saving money, simply cooking, and nifty crafts. Pull up a chair, grab a tall glass of iced tea and join the conversation. The door's always open and a seat is always available.
