School’s right around the corner.
Some kids get really excited to go back while others prefer a never-ending summer! lol My kids have always enjoyed going back to school and I think a lot of it has to do with how they started Kindergarten.
When J started Kindergarten, he got the most fantastic surprise in the mail a week before school began: A personalized letter from his teacher, Miss Jenny. It was addressed to directly to him! We all know how much kids LOVE getting mail. Usually mine get the “junk” mail but it’s even more exciting when they receive a letter addressed to them. She included a photo of herself and the letter was printed on colorful letterhead stationary he just loved! Miss Jenny was so sweet (and smart) to welcome all her students to the new adventures in school like this. I think her letter, in some small way, helped set the tone for J’s lifetime attitude toward school. He’s had his struggles BUT he’s always genuinely liked going to school. I credit Miss Jenny for instilling an early love for school in him!
