“Made in America" is a phrase you don’t hear much anymore!
It seems our glorious nation, built on the backs of Americans creating a never ending variety of products and goods is rapidly loosing the “American Made” battle. At one time, this was quite the booming little town. It sits so near the border, lots of products were shipped through this community. Several factories, grocery stores, restaurants and even motels were packed in this little town. Plenty of festivals and events were planned so folks had something fun to do on their day off. We’re down to one grocery store, one motel, two gas stations, and one restaurant. Sadly, I see so many empty abandoned buildings right in the middle of town. I find myself trying to picture what they use to be in their original “hey day”! It’s very disheartening when I hear of another business closing shop!
