Just two days ago, little Ezra was diagnosed with a form of Leukemia, called acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He was a perfectly healthy little boy; growing like all little boys should until Beth noticed a spider bite. It was that moment that set off a series of events that led to this fateful diagnosis. I can't imagine what it must be like for her and her family hearing those words and having to take your sweet baby to the doctor for brutal tests, surgeries, and ultimately chemotherapy. Tears streaming down my face as I write this! I simply cannot imagine!
Thankfully the prognosis is good. They've caught it early and the odds are greatly in little Ezra's favor for a full recovery. It will take three years of chemo to give him the best chance to kick cancer's ass but, they are determined to beat this.Beth and her family are like many of us. They live on a small income while she stays home with the children and her husband juggles school and work. They share one car and cannot afford another...even a used one. Ezra's cancer diagnosis will require frequent trips to the doctor, work on their home to ensure a bacteria free environment, as well as other expenses Medicaid does not cover.
Please visit Beth's blog. Read her story first hand and help her family kick cancer's ass by praying, donating, blogging, and/or tweeting about Ezra's story. We know the power of mom bloggers can effect big change so lets work to change things for Beth, Ezra and their family.
