Cut various boxes to size and try on before painting.
Lay out everything and mark how you imagine the paint scheme.
Prime and paint. If you just paint, the cardboard soaks up too much paint and the color still isn't as vibrant as it should be.
Glue the finishing touches into place and enjoy the oohhs and aahhs.
